Avoiding and Overcoming Pornography

Pornography is increasingly pervasive and accepted in our society. Pornography is a $57 billion industry worldwide, $12 billion derived in the United States. Forty million Americans regularly visit pornographic websites; 10 percent of adults admit having Internet sexual addiction. Some experts have labeled pornography “a hidden public health hazard exploding, in part because very few are recognizing it as such or taking it seriously.” How do we protect our families from its influences, and how can we escape its grasp if we become addicted?

The Avoiding and Overcoming Pornography episode provided some keys to escaping the pornography trap. It is not an easy challenge  to meet, but is possible as those involved admit there is a problem, seek help, become informed, find support, and strive to improve the quality of their relationships and lives.
