Parenting Teenagers

During the teen years, body changes, hormonal shifts, increasing independence, and improved cognition all create special challenges unique to this age.¬† Many parents dread the thought of their young child “turning into a teen.” While the teen years do create special challenges for even the best of parents, these challenges are not insurmountable. Many parents report this stage of parenting as very fulfilling, as their children are starting to show who they really are.
